From concept to full build

Pensa was invited to join Oregon Manifest, an urban bicycle design competition between five design firms + local bike builders representing their cities. Pensa partnered with Horse Cycle for NYC. Since this project attracted many members at Pensa, it was started as an internal design competition. I came up with the story and design of Merge. Inspired by merging elements, diverse needs and extreme space constraints from the city, I introduced versatile frame elements that integrate various functionalities. I became the lead designer of Merge bike and executed the design details, prototypes, actual working bike with engineers and the bike builder.
